Overview
Chronos - Natural Calendar Assistant ("Chronos", "we", "us", or "our") is a Chrome extension that helps you create calendar events using natural language. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be crystal clear about what we DON'T do:
- Calendar Events: We do not collect, store, or transmit your calendar event details
- Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, or personal data
- Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the extension
- Browsing History: We do not access or record your browsing activity
- Location Data: We do not collect location information
How Chronos Works
Chronos operates entirely on your local device:
- Natural Language Processing: Your input is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini API to parse calendar events. This is processed in real-time and not stored by us.
- Voice Transcription: If you use voice input, audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. The audio is not stored by us.
- Calendar Integration: Events are created directly in your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar using their official APIs. We act as a bridge - data goes directly from your device to your calendar provider.
- Local Storage: Your preferences (calendar selections) and draft events are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device.
