1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Chronos AI ("Chronos", "we", "us", or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Chronos Chrome extension and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Chronos.

2. About Chronos

Chronos is a Chrome extension that uses artificial intelligence to help you create calendar events using natural language. Chronos is an individual developer project operated from the United Arab Emirates.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chronos. By using Chronos, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. License and Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Chronos for your personal or business calendar management needs.

You May:

Install and use Chronos on devices you own or control
Create calendar events using natural language
Connect your Google Calendar and/or Outlook Calendar
Use voice input to create events

You May Not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Chronos
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of Chronos
Use Chronos for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Abuse or overload our API services or third-party APIs
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Chronos systems
Use Chronos to send spam or create malicious calendar events
Redistribute or resell Chronos without permission

5. Service Availability

Chronos is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to:

Introduce paid features or premium tiers in the future
Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Chronos at any time
Limit usage or features for free users
Provide advance notice of material changes when reasonably possible

⚠️ Service "As Is": Chronos is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

6. Limitation of Liability

Important: Chronos uses AI to interpret natural language and create calendar events. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes.

We Are Not Responsible For:

Missed appointments due to incorrect event parsing
Wrong dates, times, or event details created by AI
Calendar conflicts or double-bookings
Loss of calendar data (your data is managed by Google/Microsoft)
Downtime of third-party services (OpenAI, Google, Microsoft)
Any damages, losses, or consequences arising from using Chronos

Always review events before confirming them. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of calendar events created by Chronos.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHRONOS AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

7. Third-Party Services

Chronos integrates with third-party services including:

OpenAI API: For natural language processing and voice transcription
Google Calendar API: For creating and managing calendar events
Microsoft Outlook API: For creating and managing calendar events

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

Your Content:

You retain all rights to your calendar events, input text, and any data you create using Chronos. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Our Content:

Chronos, including its name, logo, code, and design, is proprietary and protected by intellectual property laws. The "Chronos" trademark and all related marks are owned by Chronos AI.

9. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data. By using Chronos, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. User Conduct

You agree to use Chronos responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. Prohibited activities include:

Creating malicious, harmful, or offensive calendar events
Using Chronos to harass, abuse, or harm others
Attempting to circumvent usage limits or restrictions
Interfering with the operation of Chronos or its infrastructure
Violating any laws or regulations in the UAE or your jurisdiction

11. Termination

You may stop using Chronos at any time by uninstalling the extension and revoking calendar access permissions in your Google or Microsoft account settings.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to Chronos for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or any reason at our discretion.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Chronos after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Chronos shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chronos AI regarding your use of Chronos.
